Switching back to blogger … for now

I don’t know why I can’t commit to just one blog host — but let’s be honest, lately I haven’t been able to commit to any kind of blogging at all!

I had fun with my WordPress site, but decided I love blogger just a tiny bit more for now.  Until the next switch, visit us at!

Idaho Falls

Thursday night, Jords and I trekked up to Idaho to check out apartments in Rexburg.

At least, that’s what I had him keep telling me we were doing.

For some reason, it was easier to to think about where we’ll be living for the next year or so than the two job interviews I had scheduled. I feel like I know my stuff and really could do a grown-up, post-college job, but that doesn’t keep the interview experience from racking my nerves a bit.

So, we’ll just say the trip was lots of red vines, tasty tortilla soup and a new apartment. Exciting, no matter what else happens.

By the way, it wasn’t quite so green in Idaho Falls while we were there yesterday. We’re hoping for that by April, though.

I feel like

I couldn’t give today a fitting memorial.
But I couldn’t ignore it, either.
I love this country. God bless the USA.

Only two weeks from today

Jords and I will be married for time & all eternity in the Houston LDS Temple

Needless to say, I can’t wait!

Lava Cake Love :)

Guess what??  We’re E N G A G E D ! ! !

It hasn’t quite sunk in completely–I no longer have a boyfriend, he’s my fiancee!  Because I love telling it, here’s the story:

We took a day trip to San Antonio last Saturday to visit a beautiful mall and eat at one of our favorite restaurants, the Chart House at the top of the Tower of the Americas.

(It’s extra awesome because it spins!)

We had so much fun together and ate a delicious dinner and then the waitress brought out our chocolate lava cake, decorated with chocolate hearts and swirls and the words, “Will you marry me?”  I loved it–a handsome kneeling boyfriend, a sparkling ring, and tasty chocolate all at once?!  He spoils me for sure.

The man, the ring, the cake, the view
I’m so happy!
A family sitting near us saw the whole thing happen and congratulated us as we walked out.  The sweet husband had his wife translate for him, “I hope you enjoy that dessert for the rest of your lives.”  We had an incredible evening and now I’m excited to officially start planning!
